Clooney / Canalis, George is single again, did he have a girlfriend?

George Clooney, "il bel George" as Italians say, is again single and free and all gossip world is already betting on who will be next lucky girl to take Elisabetta Canalis's place. However, probably the real question is: did he have a girlfriend?

About 2 years ago George and Elisabetta started to go out together for romantic dinners and nice trips since they became a couple and started to live together, Elisabetta moved to USA to be close to him and started to integrate herself withing George's close friends.

"I'll marry George soon" she used to say, she even met his family and everything seemed to be just the perfect fairytale, like a girl's dream that becomes reality. They are in US and also in Como italy, they have a nice vacation in Mexico and so on...until the day some journalists started to ask themselves: isn't strange that George never kisses Elisabetta?

All started when George was accused to be gay (just to joke), the media were giving big emphasis to this gossip and few weeks later George had a girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis! An Italian show girl very preatty and popular in Italy who was going through a difficult time...just quited by Bobo Vieri, a famous soccer player, Elisabetta was sad and alone slowly becoming invisible to media and people...her story with George Clooney gave her many opportunities to be often in the gossip center of attention, make a photo shooting for Playboy and also participate to an American movie (with no much success). Italian gossip press was always following her and George and some tv shows asked her to be a tv guest.

From the outside all looked like a real contract agreement between them, a sort of fake sentimental relationship that lasted long enough to help both of them on their image. It was not a surprise to read first news about George being mad for Elisabetta's jealousy and for being too oppressive. It was the start of the end, in fact after 2 years the story gets to an end.

Elisabetta Canalis said " We broke up because George does not want to be married again", George said " please respect our feelings", someone else said "Game over!".
