Online design courses, new learning?

Surfing on the net I have seen quite a lot of Web Design Degrees offers and I was a bit curious so I started searching on the net and I found on line courses about: Web Site Design Schools, on-line Interior Design Schools, Graphic Design Program, on-line Fashion Design Schools, On-line Art School, on-line Animation Schools...at so on I even found a web site about Car Design Program on-line. It is true, today thanks to internet and some money to invest we can offer ourself a Design course basically in any discipline staying at home connecting ourself with our PC.

Is it going to be good?

This is the real question because I went to a real Design school (Art Center College of Design in Pasadena) and I had teachers spending time with me to teach me how to draw correctly. How to keep the pencil in your hand, how to apply a color, how to make a rendering... My experience has been real! I interacted with people and learned by it. Now how can we think that investing on an on-line web design school program we really are going to learn?

Probably it all depends by the type of design course. For example: Car Design would be really hard to follow on-line, but Art History may-be not! A Game Design Course may-be not to difficult to follow on-line due to programming based activity.

I still do not know anyone with an on line degree, no one for example following on line graphic design school. May-be in the near future we will start reading on candidates CV "on line doctoral diploma" or "Accredited on line University" or " cyber designer"! For the moment I still suggest to use internet to get infos about colleges degrees and schools, go visit the schools and make your choice for a human follow up!
